Lisa Garris Dixon

Lisa Garris Dixon, 54, of Locust, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at home.

Lisa was born May 12, 1970 in Texas to David Henry Garris, Jr. and Linda Lane Smith. She was preceded in death by husband, William Dixon and daughter, Amanda Christine Putnam.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. A graveside service will be on Friday at 11:00 am at First Baptist Cemetery in Locust officiated by Rev. Dr. Tommy Ross. 

Lisa was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed arts, crafts, painting, and soap making She also collected jewelry and was good at making health and beauty products. Some of Lisa's favorite pastimes were spent going to the lake, to cookouts, and hanging around bonfires. But her most cherished moments were the times she got to spend with her grandchildren. Lisa loved the Lord with all her heart, and even though we are all saddened by her passing, we know that she is with her Lord and Savior.

Survivors include son, Ethan (Farrah) Billings; daughter, Katherine H. Byars; nine wonderful grandchildren; brothers, Jason R. Smith, Jody R. (Maria) Smith, James A. Smith, Adam R. (Kristi) Garris and sister, Heather S. (James) Hartsell.
