Lloyd Austin

Lloyd Austin, 84, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Austin was born April 22, 1933 to the late Gillian Lee and Fannie Helms Austin. Lloyd worked for Chiquita Brands for over 20 years. His hobbies included spending time at the beach, playing tennis, working on his farm, and boating on the lake.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle, officiated by Rev. Garry Baker. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include: wife, Dianne Austin of Albemarle, NC; daughters, Shelly Crotty and husband Dan of Holly Springs, NC,  Mimi Braunsberg of Albemarle, NC,  Mary Jo Lizotte and husband Jeremy of Gray, TN; grandchildren, Austin Braunsberg, Aaron Braunsberg, Zachary Crotty, Ryan Crotty, Isaac Lizotte, Caleb Lizotte, and Evie Lizotte.
