Lloyd Cordell Love, 68, of Concord, passed away August 23, 2009 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 26 from 6 to 8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 27 at 2 PM at New Hope Worship Center in Concord, with the Rev. Dale Jenkins officiating. His body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
Mr. Love was born July 10, 1941 in Stanly County to the late Grover Cordell Love and the late Pearlie Efird Love. He was a mechanic at East Coast Trailers and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Hines.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Love of the home; sons Todd Love of Kannapolis, Shane Love and Chad Love, both of Concord, Kenneth Hines of Concord and Michael Hines of China Grove; daughters, Wanda Henry and Lisa Smith, both of Concord; sisters, Millie Hill and Carolene Parker, both of Concord; 16 grandchildren and three great-children; and the love of his life, his dog, Miss Cricket.
