Lois Barbee

Mrs. Lois Virginia Freeman Barbee,79, of 7645 Robinson Church Road Harrisburg formerly of Kannapolis passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. She was born on August 27, 1931 in Cabarrus County to the late William Anderson and Ella Mae Sims Freeman. Mrs. Barbee was a teacher’s assistant at Harrisburg Elementary School, and a life long honorary member of Harrisburg Presbyterian Church. Lois was married to her loving husband Robert for 60 wonderful years. She was a dedicated, loving mother to her family and will be greatly missed. The family meeting place will be at the home. A visitation will be held at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 2:30 until 4 PM. Funeral services will follow at 4 PM at the church with Rev. Tim Bostic, Rev. Charles Efird and Rev. Mike Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survived by: husband, Robert William Barbee of the home; daughters, Debbie Cress and husband Lynn of Concord, Cathy Johnson and husband Kevin of Harrisburg; sisters, Phyllis Baucom and Brenda Addison both of Kannapolis; 1 grandchild, Josh Goodman and wife Renee of Harrisburg; 2 great-grandchildren, Sara and Mark Goodman also of Harrisburg.
