Lois Efird

Lois Cray Hudson Efird, 85 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center in Albemarle. Lois was born August 8, 1928 in Stanly County to the late "Bud" Krone Love Hudson and the late Minnie Lisk Hudson. She was also preceded in death in 2009 by husband, Erastus "Cob" Efird. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Mike Almond and Keith Menius will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2014 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at the Open Door Baptist Church Cemetery, 24639-A NC Hwy. 49, Richfield. She is survived by her daughter, Phoebe (Mike) Almond and son, Joel "Buddy" Efird of Albemarle: grandchildren, Candy (Mark) Troutman, Allen Almond, Shelly Efird (Heather), J.W. Efird, Heath Efird; great grandchildren, Chesney Troutman, Ashley Almond and Carmen Efird; and sister, Margaret Wilhoit.
