Lois Hartsell

Lois Nadine Brooks Hartsell, 70 years of age, of Concord, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Nadine was born October 29, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Lane Washington Brooks and the late Ruth Emerline Austin Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Randy Dale Hartsell; sister, Judy Smith and husband Harold.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, August 7, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday at Cold Water Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jim Possie and Rev. Billy Freeman. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Cleveland Hartsell of the home; son, Brian Hartsell of Concord; daughters, Debbie Hartsell Davidson and husband Julian of Concord, and Beverly Hartsell Macon of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Michael Hartsell, Samantha Bassinger, Brooke Bassinger, Kaitlyn Macon, and Corin Macon; sisters, Catherine Smith and husband James of Concord, Phyllis Lambert and husband Harvey of Concord, Wanda Smith and husband David of Harrisburg; brother, Melvin Brooks and wife Beverly of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nadine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed going on family vacations, cookouts, and spending time with her grandchildren.
