Lois Hatley

Lois Ramelle Curlee Hatley, 87, of Concord, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 6 until 8 PM. The funeral service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Mrs. Hatley was born on March 02, 1926 in Stanly County to the late Jesse Ray Curlee and Lula Belle Kiker Curlee. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Alma Phillips, and Rosa Rowland; and brother, Charles Ray Curlee. Lois worked at Troutman’s BBQ on Church Street, and also at Arby’s for several years. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Frank Howell Hatley, Sr. of the home; sons, Hal Hatley and wife Vivian of Sarasota, FL, and Glenn Hatley and wife Robin of Kannapolis; daughter, Sonya Williams of Concord; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
