Lois Morrison
May 15, 1928 — July 12, 2015
Lois Virginia Thomas Morrison, 87 years of age, of Midland, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.
Lois was born May 15, 1928 in Stanly County to the late Daniel Arthur Thomas and the late Eva Lucinda Burris Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Vander Spurgeon Morrison in 2004; daughter, Wanda Joan Morrison; brothers, Buford, Grover, Frealon, and Roy Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm to 3pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Bethel United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3pm in the church sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Mark Clontz. The burial will be in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home of her daughter, Kelly Crowell, 13447 Cabarrus Station Rd., Midland.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Crowell of Midland; grandson, Rev. Neil Crowell and wife Rebekah of Trinity; granddaughter, Jennifer Anderson and husband J.T. of Gastonia; great-granddaughters, Katie and Emily Crowell of Trinity; great-grandsons, Parker and Vander Anderson of Gastonia; brother, Cecil Thomas of Fort Mill, SC; and sister, Pearly Burnette of Stanfield.
The family would like to thank Five Oaks Manor and Brookdale Living Center for all of their compassionate care of Lois and her family.
