Lois Russell

Lois Mildred Russell, age 75 of 29344 Nelson Mountain Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001, went to be with her Savior on January 24, 2010 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Born in Stanly County on September 22, 1934. Lois Mildred Russell was preceded in death by her mother Lillie Herlocker Russell and father Arlie Ray Russell, and her beloved son Jeffrey Russell in 1972 and also her brother, Raymond L. Russell. She was devoted to her Lord and her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and maw-maw. She loved caring for her home and working outside with her flowers. She was a member of Plyler Baptist Church and had worked for Knitsters as a seamtress. Memorials may be made to Plyler Baptist Church, 25958 Austin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001 The family will meet at her home.. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 06:00 PM 08:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Wednesday,January 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Plyler Baptist Church with a 30 minute state. Rev. Alvin Melton and Rev. Brian Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at Plyler Baptist Church Cemetery Lois Mildred Russell was survived by her spouse Don Richard "Bud" Russell of Albemarle NC, her daughter Lola Krick and husband Eddie of Albemarle NC, her grandchildren Lilli and Sarah Krick, her special friend Beulah Mabe.
