Lois Thomas

Lois J. Thomas, 76, of 1182 Swift Road, Oakboro, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Bethany Woods, Albemarle. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. At other times the family will meet at the home her son, Ricky, 12105 Swift Road, Oakboro. The graveside service will be Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 5:00 pm at Big Lick Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Springer will officiate. Born August 25, 1935 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Audie Lee Kennedy and the late Hettie Boone Kennedy. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Donald “Don” Thomas, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Ruben Thomas and Ricky Thomas and wife Wanda all of Oakboro; and grandchildren Andy and Alex Thomas.
