Lois West

Lois Ann (Shaver) West, age 48, of Concord, N.C., died Friday, July 31, 2009, at CMC-Northeast in Concord, NC. Mrs. West was employed by CMC-NorthEast Medical Center as a Certified Medical Assistant and was a member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. West was born in Cabarrus County on January 29, 1961. The family meeting place will be at the home. Mrs. West was a 1979 graduate of North West Cabarrus High School, and CPCC in 1981. Lois was a long time employee with Dr. Douglas Kelling, and recent employee with CMC NorthEast Endocrinology. Lois was a passionate and giving person with the patients she served at NorthEast Medical Center, she was an active member in her church for 25 years. She attended Sunday School, and was a Mission Friends Leader, a member of The Ladies Bible Study Class, and Parrish Healthcare Committee.. She is survived by her husband Joseph Vincent "Joe" West; of the home. Son-Corey West & wife Minah Kim West of Ft. Bragg. NC Daughter-Ashley (West) Roberts & husband Adam Joseph Roberts of Oakland, Calif. Parents- C.J. Shaver, Sr. and Barbara (Kennedy) Shaver of Concord, NC. Brother-C.J. Shaver, Jr. & wife Rira Shin Shaver of South Korea Sister-Pam (Shaver) West of Concord, NC Niece-Amanda Rose West Nephew-Clay Randall West Special canine companion- Lilly Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2009. A Memorial Service will be at Kerr Memorial Baptist Church - Concord at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 4, 2009 , Rev. Brad Johnson and Dr. Jim Summey officiating.
