Lola Simpson

Lola Elmer (Blackwelder) Simpson, age 98, of Locust, N.C., died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, N.C. Born in Cabarrus County, NC she was the daughter of the late Milas Avery Blackwelder and the late Mary Brack (Lomax) Blackwelder. She was also preceded in death by sons Robert Daniel Simpson and George Orville Simpson. She is survived by her Grandchildren-Ruth Hair and husband Steve of Troy, Patricia Deaton and husband David of Troy ,Anita Suggs and husband Franklin of Randleman,Stanly Simpson of Asheboro and Sherry Stutts and husband Todd of Locust, NC Eleven great-grandchildren Four great-great grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland, PO Box 100, Midland, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2009. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel - Midland at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2009 , Rev. Richard Collins officiating. Interment will be at Locust United Methodist Church Cemetery in Locust, N.C.
