Lonnie Franklin Crews,Sr. age 71 of 29708 Tiffany Woods Rd, Richfield, NC went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2010 at CMC Main in Charlotte. Born in Mecklenburg County on October 08, 1938. Mr. Lonnie Franklin Crews was preceded in death by his mother Airie Ann Crews, his father George Crews and son, Doug Crews. Mr. Crews served 20 years in the US Army. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 7:00 PM 9:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Monday,June 14, 2010 at 11: 00 AM at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, 522 N. 2nd Albemarle NC. with the Rev. David Pinion officiating. Burial will follow at National Cemetery Salisbury, 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010. Graveside military honors by Albemarle-Stanly County DAV Chapter 12. Mr. Lonnie Franklin Crews was survived by his wife of 35 years Linda May LaRose Crews of the home, his daughters Teresa Mashteare of VT, Stacy Fredette and husband John of Fl., Chrissy Bolton of Richfield NC, Tammy Hudson of Albemarle NC, Brenda Crews and husband John of Albemarle NC, Airy Crews and husband Jamie of Richfield NC, his sons Timothy Crews and his late wife Sue of VT, Lonnie Crews, Jr. and wife Stacy of Richfield NC, his 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, his brother, J V Crews of Atlanta Ga.
