Lottie Elizabeth Nance Brooks, 75, of Oakboro, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle.

Lottie was born June 22, 1945 in Albemarle to the late Thomas Hoyle Nance, Sr. and the late Katie Vivian Kiker Nance. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Clyde Brooks, in 2001; daughter, Pamela Jean Brooks; and brother, Darrell Nance.

The funeral service to celebrate her life will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle.

Lottie was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an avid reader and gardener. She also loved baking, fishing, and traveling with her family. Above all else, she valued and loved her family. Lottie will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Brooks of Oakboro; son, Billy Brooks of Oakboro; granddog, George; sisters, Kathryn (Larry) Carpenter of Oakboro, Marilyn Nance Eudy of Oakboro; brothers, Thomas "Buddy" Hoyle (Becky, deceased) Nance, Jr. of Locust, Rayvon (Nancy) Nance of Albemarle, Dwayne (Monica) Nance of Oakboro; sister-in-law, Theresa Nance of Locust; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
