Lottie York

Lottie Mae Simpson York, 82, of Concord, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at PruittHealth - Town Center in Harrisburg.

Lottie was born July 1, 1935 in Union County to the late Hoyle and Velma Simpson.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husbands, James K. York and Dorse B. Rinehardt; and sisters, EllaDean Blackwelder and Betty Lee Simpson.

Lottie loved growing flowers and working in her garden.  She was a wonderful cook, loved her dogs, and had a great sense of humor.  She was most content living in her Blue Ridge Mountain home.  Lottie loved her children and family.  She will be greatly missed by all.

Survivors include son, James K. York, Jr.; daughter, Teresa Y. (Glenn) Troutman; daughter, Ronda (April) York; brother, Mitchell (Charlotte) Simpson; sister, Rachel S. (John) Parker; three grandchildren, Lisa (Miranda) Troutman, Chad (Kristina) Troutman, and Justin (Kyla) Troutman; three great-grandchildren, Molly, Mika, and Elliot Troutman.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 460 Branchview Drive NE, Concord.  The funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Elder Gary Lowe.  Following the service, Lottie will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.  Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Troutman, Justin Troutman, Lisa Troutman, Shane Bost, Becky Sherrill and Randy Sherrill.
