Louise Morris

Louise Williams Morris, 84, of 630 North Fifth Street, Albemarle, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Stanly Manor. She was born on October 20, 1926 in Anson County to the late Thomas Henry and Cora Mae Parker Williams. Louise is preceded in death by her late husband, Hazel T. Morris, who passed away in 1990; brother, Bill Williams; and sisters, Ruth Shoemaker, Reva Thompson, Ona Thomas, and Agnes Napier. Mrs. Morris was a member of North Albemarle Baptist church and a homemaker. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 1:00 until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Dr. Wayne Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home. She is survived by her nephew, Billy Williams Jr., of Oakboro; nieces, Tanya Burgess, of Albemarle, Lydia Smith, of Norwood, and Kristi Humphrey, of Albemarle; other numerous nieces and nephews; and her special caregiver, Alice Pickler. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Morris family.
