Loyce C. Medlin, 95 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Medlin was born September 21, 1920 to the late Jonah and Flora Clontz. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband of 22 years, Vernon Medlin; son, Phil Whitaker; daughter, Faynell Williams; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 20415 Hwy. 24/27 West, Oakboro. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Elder Larry Austin officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughter, Diane Dean of Albemarle, NC; step-daughters, Rebecca and husband Bob Lowder and Beth Mason; grandchildren, Katherine and husband Randy Morgan, Jennifer and husband Greg Slusher, Lauren and husband Mark Robinson, Mandy Lowder, Paul Mason and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 20415 Hwy. 24/27 West, Oakboro, or Community Homecare and Hospice, 120 N. Main St, Troy.
