Lucia "Lucy" Leonardo

Lucia “Lucy” Leonardo passed away on January 21, 2019. She was born in Bronx, NY, on 4/19/1933 to the late Pasquale and Louisa (Immediata) Bottiglieri. In NYC she met the love of her life, the late Louis C. Leonardo, and they were married on January 19, 1957. They moved to FL then CA before heading back to the Northeast, settling in Bristol, CT, where they raised their children. In 1994 they retired and migrated south to The Villages in Lady Lake, FL, where they became avid golfers. In 2013 Lucy moved to Concord, NC, to live with her eldest daughter. Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, loving nothing more than spending time with her family.

Besides her parents, Lucy is predeceased by her brothers Danny Powers and Armando Bottiglieri and sisters Marie Schaller and Carmela Bottiglieri. She is survived by her children Nancy Przech of Concord, NC; Lou Leonardo and his wife Molly of Canton, CT; and Michelle Leonardo and her husband Jim Hondel of Saco, ME. She also leaves her cherished granddaughter Kimberly Przech and her fiancé Kyle Oxx of Concord, NC; and many extended family members, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thanks the staff at Pruitt for their caring assistance and support.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, 1/28, from 10:00 - 11:00 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, with a service to follow in the chapel. Lucy will later be buried beside her husband at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
