Lucille Poplin

Lucille Betty  Poplin, 94, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle.

Ms. Poplin was born September 1, 1925 in North Carolina to the late William Martin Harris and the late Effie Callicut Harris.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Elder Homer Lee Poplin; daughter, Cynthia Thomas; son, Jeff  Poplin; brother, Willard Harris; sisters, Evelyn Medlin, Opal Mauldin, and  Frances Herrin.

Lucille was a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved gardening and cooking for the church.  She retired from American Circuit Breaker after many years.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be  Sunday at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Elder Gene Hogan. Burial will follow at  Mt. Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Mountain Creek Road, New London.

Survivors include daughter, Paulette (Chuck) Stephens of Albemarle, NC; Brother, Ed  Harris of  New London, NC; son-in-law, Roger Thomas; grandchildren, Jason Cagle, Tracy Cagle, Jake Thomas, Miranda Huneycutt, and Madison Morton; great grandchildren, Ayden Huneycutt and Ethan Morton.
