Lucille Cranford Burris, 90 years of age, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at her home in Albemarle. Mrs. Burris was born September 16, 1921 in Stanly County to the late Royal Lee Cranford and Martha Bailey Cranford. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Hall, Sr.; her second husband, Sherman Burris; and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hall. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, March 9, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Saturday at Palestine United Methodist Church with a 30 minute state prior to the service. Dr. Eddie Burris, Dr. Kelly Burris and Rev. Dathan Hall, and Rev. David Nolan will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors include her two sons, Johnny Hall and his wife, Carolyn, of New London and Tony Hall of Albemarle; her daughter, Elaine McCroskey and her husband, Larry, of Albemarle; her sister, Cora Lee Almond of Albemarle; and her grandchildren, Kristi Blankenship, John Hall, Michelle Haywood, Dathan Hall, Brandi Huneycutt, and Heather Blalock; and 11 great-grandchildren.
