Lucy Shoe

Lucy Anner Shoe, age 87, of Concord, NC, passed away on Monday, July 04, 2011 at the home of her daughter. The family will be at the home of her daughter, 566 Spicewood Drive, Concord. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 12pm until 1:30pm. A graveside service will follow at 2pm, at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, officiated by Rev. Don Lisk. Mrs. Shoe was born in Cabarrus County on December 4, 1924, to the late Martin Luther Shue and the late Lula Lorenda Yow Shue. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Martin Luther Shoe and a son, Jimmy Shoe. Survivors include daughters, Sylvia Dry, Kathy Smith, and Denise Dabbs all of Concord; son, Lester Shoe of Concord; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. She was a member of White Park Baptist Church in Concord. Mrs. Shoe was employed as a twister operator with Cannon Mills plant #6. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice nurses, Janna and Kim, and to her neighbors, Thelma, Carolyn and Donna.
