Lue Moua

Lue Moua, a son, brother, and friend, died on May 14, 2022 at the young age of 34, in his home in New London, NC.  His family announced his death. He died after a strong battle with Urachal Cancer.

Lue Moua, often known as "Lunie", was born on March 14, 1988 to Long Moua and May Yang. Lue is survived by his mother, oldest brother, SungSai Moua; sister-in-law, Catherina Moua; nephew, Jordan Moua; niece, Eva Moua, younger sister, Darlene Chang, brother-in-law, Lee Vang; niece, Zyla Vang; younger sisters, Monica Chang and Pachia Vang; younger brothers, John Chang and Justin Moua.  He left behind his sweetheart, Paaj Xiong.

Lue was born in San Diego and move to North Carolina when he was young.  He was a North Stanly High School Alumni, class of 2007, and Stanly Community College Alumni, year of 2012. He was a well-respected Corrections Officer at Albemarle Correctional Institute. His peers and colleagues remember him as a humorous, big-hearted gentleman who gave his best in his personal life and career.

Lue Moua was a bright, cheerful man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He frequently hosted gatherings at his home for his dear ones. Big laughs and great memories were made with him as he was the "life of the party". He loved fishing, working on computers, gaming, traveling, and singing in his downtime.

The memorial service will be hosted on June 11, 2022 at AMVETS Funeral Service in Albemarle, NC, starting at 8am, and June 12, 2022 at Stanly Memory of Gardens in Albemarle. All family and friends are welcome to attend the service and pay their respect.  Lou Moua, a life taken too soon, will be dearly missed by all.
