Lula Burris

Lula Mae Burris, 79 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Trinity Place.

Lula was born August 1, 1936 in Stanly County to the late John Allen Crowell and the late Willie Mae Crowell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Burris, Jr..

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The service will follow at 3pm in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ron Honeycutt. The burial will be at Stanly Gardens of Memory. At other times the family will be meeting at the home of her daughter, Misty Shepherd, 25820 Dunlap Rd., Albemarle.

She is survived by her daughters, Sonya Mauldin (David) Blakeley of Boone, Misty Mauldin (Richard) Shepherd of Albemarle; son, Todd (Robert Dunn) Mauldin of Savannah; three grandchildren, Dusty (Leslie) Shepherd, Mandy Shepherd, and Garrett Blakeley; three great-grandchildren, Kobe, Kole, and Willow Shepherd; Don Burris and family and Dale Burris and family.

Lula was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
