Lula Lamonds

Lula Faye Burris Lamonds, 86 years of age, of Candor, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at home. Lula was born May 20, 1927 in Stanly County to the late Vanuel Lee Burris and the late Osia Dale Edwards Burris. She was also preceded in death by husband, Ray Clark Lamonds; brother, Newell Burris; and step grandson, Freddy Goins. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 3:30 pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Harward Chapel Cemetery, Winfield Road, Norwood, NC 28128. Survivors include daughter, Deborah (Larry) Goins of Candor; brothers, J. R. (Barbara) Burris and Arthur David "Whitey" Burris, both of Albemarle; sister, Dorothy Efird of Albemarle; two grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
