Lynda Milligan
September 1, 1941 — February 5, 2017
Lynda Milligan, 75 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis in Kannapolis, NC.
Lynda was born September 1, 1941 in North Carolina to Marshall Campbell and Margaret Gilland Campbell.
She was also preceded in death by Benners Swindell "Milo" Milligan and her son Jon Dean Milligan.
Lynda always filled the house with love, laughter and shenanigans. Whether it was chasing trains, building blanket forts, or letting us express our artistic creativity with crayons on the wall. She showed us how to enjoy life and get the most out of everyday. Our favorite quote was "Life is a banquet but most poor suckers are starving to death", words that I continue to live by.
She was a very caring loving woman that tirelessly cared for her son who had a Cystic Fibrosis. After her son's death she continued practicing heath care in her community taking care of elderly ladies where she smooched on them daily.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.
Survivors include daughter, Mary Margaret (Aziz Hossni) Milligan of Kannapolis, NC, granddaughter, Cecilia (Anthony Dennis) Dennis, sister, Sandra Doss.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Milligan family.
