Lynn Glover

Lynn Bennett Glover, 83, of Concord, NC passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018.

Mr. Glover was born March 5, 1935 in Knoxville, TN to the late William Kenneth Glover and the late Viola Elizabeth Glover.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers William Glover; Robert Glover; Ray Glover; and sister Betty Glover Asbill.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marie Mims Glover; daughter Wendy Glover Ward and husband Jerry; son Brad Glover; granddaughters Rachel Gunter, Payton Gunter and Ava Glover.

Lynn proudly served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959.  He was a devoted poet and published "Poems from the Heart" in 2008.   He served faithfully at Pitts Baptist Church for many years, and was always eager to spread the word of God.  Lynn enjoyed gardening, nature and his dogs; but most of all he loved his family.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Pitts Baptist Church, 140 Pitts School Road, Concord, NC 28027. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm officiated by Rev. Scott Davis. Burial will take place in the church cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pitts Baptist Church, or the V.A. Hospital in Salisbury, NC.
