Charlotte

Lynnette Suzanne York, 54, of Charlotte, NC, passed away suddenly Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, NC.

Lynnette was born March 30, 1967, in Milford, Connecticut to Carol Ann Morgan and the late Richard Jerry Clark. She was also preceded in death by her loving stepfather, William Morgan.

A celebration of Lynnette's life will be held on Thursday, August 12th, at 2:00 pm, officiated by Pastor David Klinedinst at the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel in Harrisburg, NC at 12115 University City Blvd.

Lynne will be greatly missed by her family and friends: husband, Richard York of Charlotte, NC; stepdaughter, Brittany (Michael) Weaklend of Morganton, NC; grandsons, Isaac and Levi; mother, Carol Morgan of Mooresville, NC; sisters Nancy (Leon) Williams of Statesville, NC and Judy (Aron) Wegner of Huntersville, NC; brother, Richard (Laura) Clark of Charlotte, NC; a host of nieces and nephews; and her little faithful four-legged companion, Brady.

Lynnette was a loving wife, mother, grammy and daughter, who lived out her Christian faith daily. Lynne loved the life she and Rick built together, always looking forward to visits together with Brittany, Michael and her grandsons. It always warmed her heart to joke and play with the boys.

Lynne was always up for a trip to Sunset Beach. She loved the views of the ocean and sand under her feet. Despite her red hair and fair skin, she was a beach lover at heart. We will all cherish the wonderful beach trips memories forever.

For many years Lynne was a Financial secretary with the CMS school system and took great pride in her work. In addition, Lynette was an advocate for suicide awareness, Fibromyalgia and Sjogren’s syndrome. She also had a big heart for Shih Tzus and actively supported the Shih Tzus Rescue.

Lynne poured into others by her caring and encouraging spirit. She had a great sense of humor with an infectious laugh that would bring you joy and leave you laughing. After spending time together, all were uplifted by her witty humor and positive outlook.

We rejoice Lynnette is in the arms of her loving savior, Jesus Christ. She will be in our hearts forever and we will always cherish the time we had with her!
