Madge Huneycutt

Madge Burleson Huneycutt, age 90 of 28321 Canton Road, Albemarle, passed away on May 17, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Funeral service will be at Canton Baptist Church at 4 pm on Wednesday, May 19 with Rev. Mark Mabry officiating. There will be a 30 minute state. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in Canton Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. At other times the family will meet at her home. Born in Stanly County on May 09, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Burleson and the late Letha Mae Treece Burleson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Alphus “Alf” Huneycutt in 1969 and infant son, Nelson Eddie Huneycutt. She is survived by her sons Ronnie Huneycutt and wife Jane of Albemarle NC and Ted Huneycutt and wife Miriam of Florida; daughter, Mrs. Diane Joyner of Albemarle; brothers, Don Burleson and Kenneth Burleson both of Albemarle; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
