Mae Helms

Mae Belle Helms, 96 years of age, of New London, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.

Mae Belle was born April 2, 1921 in Stanly County to the late Adam Henderson Ridenhour and the late Glayds Misenheimer Ridenhour.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Helms.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at New Bethel Lutheran Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Jewel Bryant of Richfield, and Nadine (Roy) Shaver of Richfield; brother, Clyde Ridenhour of Richfield; sister, Dorothy Shaver of Richfield; seven grandchildren Belinda Gilmore, Treda Forte, Bobby Dale Brown, Ruth Ellen Demarcus, Rhonda Hargett, Waynette Bumgarner, and Franky Reynolds; 11 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
