Maggie Almond

Maggie T. Almond, 96, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Almond was born November 20, 1921 in Stanly County to the late Titus Monroe Tucker and the late Sylvia Samahra Tucker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey V. Almond; daughter, Harvene A. Barbee; five sisters; two brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM,  Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church, 24696 NC-73, Albemarle officiated by Pastor Brad Hinton and Pastor Sherry Kelly. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Survivors include daughter, Donna Almond (Rick) Troutman of Gold Hill; grandchildren, Lentz (Nancy) Barbee, Randy (Pam) Barbee, Mike (Linda) Barbee, Cindy (Wes) Scott, Tiffiny (Jason) Parker, and Jeremy (Shauna) Aldridge; nine great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; special nieces and a nephew.
