Maj. Marcus "Mac" Mullis

Maj. (USAF Ret.) Marcus "Mac" Mullis, 74, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Mullis was born July 6, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Otto Lane Mullis and the late Virgie Mullis. He was also preceded in death by wife, Letha Jeanette Mullis; sisters, Bernice Almond, Nell Thompson, and Barbara Garrett; and brothers, Kendall Mullis and Don Mullis.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, June 17, 2019, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson. Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 22182 Canton Rd., Albemarle.

Survivors include daughters, Kimberly (John) Ridenhour of Albemarle, Crystal Elkin of Richfield; son, Marcus (Jerri) Mullis of Aurora, CO; sister, Dolly Howard of Albemarle; brother, Landon Mullis of New London; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County and the Uwharrie, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
