Malcolm Hicks

Mr. Malcolm Dwight Hicks, 81 years of age, of Marshville, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at his home.

Malcolm was born September 2, 1934 in Rutherford County, to the late Malcolm Dwight Hicks, Sr. and the late Lois Butler Hicks.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Monday at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Marshville, and will be officiated by Rev. John Miller. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Rd., Marshville.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine Austin Hicks of Marshville; sons, David Hicks, Darrel Harris, and Darren Harris; stepsons, Terry Dabney and Len Morton; stepdaughter, Tammy Abernethy; five grandchildren, Kayla, Holly, Hunter, Jessica, and Jake; two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Kimberlynn; and brother-in-law Gerald Austin.
