Maleia Black

Maleia Suzanne Jackson Black, 56, passed away March 22, 2013 at her home in Rockwell, NC. Mrs. Black was born October 26, 1956 in Fulton County, Georgia. An employee of Walmart in Albemarle, NC, she grew up in Charlotte. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. Rev. Ronnie Cooper will officiate. Survivors include her husband of seven years, George Arnold Black, Jr., of the home; her daughters, Sydna Smith Coley and her husband, Greg Jordan, and Leslie Brooke Smith, all of Albemarle; two grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; her parents, Raymond Mitchell Floyd and Sandra Gail Bryant Floyd, of Stanfield; her brothers, Bobby Jackson and Michael Floyd, both of Stanfield; and her sister, Joni Love and husband, Clifford, of Stanfield. Maleia was preceded in death by her brother, George E. Jackson. The family requests that memorials be made to Hartsell Funeral Home, Maleia Black Account, P. O. Box 100, Midland, NC 28107.
