Malinda Huneycutt

Malinda B. Huneycutt, Age 97, formerly of Oakboro, NC 28001, passed away on February 25,2010 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle. Born in Stanly county on June 13, 1912, Malinda B. Huneycutt was preceded in death by her husband- Walter M. Huneycutt, her parents Junie and Ellis Burris. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 7:00 PM 8:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Frog Pond Rd. with the ministers Dr. W. Wayne Bennett, Rev. Yates Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Malinda B. Huneycutt was survived by her daughters Novaleen Hatley and husband Roscoe of Oakboro NC, her son Nevin Huneycutt, Sr. and wife Patricia of Oakboro NC, and Norma Earley of Oakboro NC who was preceded in death by her husband Joe, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Malinda was the oldest and longest living member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The family will meet at the home of Nevin Huneycutt, Sr.: 16422 Mclester Rd., Oakboro NC.
