Margaret Blackwelder

Margaret Lucille Blackwelder, 82, of Concord, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center, NE. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Mark Ericson will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Mrs. Blackwelder was born on December 4, 1929, to the late Jason Osborne and Katie Walters Goodman. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Zena G. Layton, Mary G. Batten, Stella G. Miller, May G. Clay and Myrtle G. Hodges; four brothers, John Goodman, Clyde Goodman, Vance “Pete” Goodman and Mike Goodman; and a granddaughter, Laura E. Blackwelder. She is survived by her husband, Harold Eugene Blackwelder; three sons, Harold L. Blackwelder and wife, Martha of Winterville, NC, Timothy E. Blackwelder and wife, Joyce of Cleveland, TN, Andrew T. Blackwelder and wife, Billie of Concord, NC; and four grandchildren, Daniel, Melissa, Jennifer and Tegan Blackwelder. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Blackwelder family.
