Margaret Bumgardner, age 94, peacefully passed from this life into Heaven on Saturday, April 3rd at her home in Harrisburg, North Carolina.
Mrs. Bumgardner was born in Lincoln County, NC to the late Earl Cletis Rudisill and Georgia Carpenter Rudisill. She had three brothers, all of whom have preceded her in death.
She was married to her beloved late husband Alvin David Bumgardner of Newton, NC for 58 wonderful years and is survived by daughter, Linda (Bumgardner) Truette and husband Dan of Charlotte, NC, daughter, Joy (Bumgardner) Foster and husband Larry of Matthews, NC and son, David Bumgardner, Jr. & wife Tracey of Concord, NC.
She is survived by her beloved granddaughters Tiffany (Foster) Canaday of Hickory, NC and Brittany (Foster) Tibbett and husband Doug of Lutz, FL and grandsons, Erik Truette and wife Barbara of Fort Mill, SC, Karl Truette of Charlotte, NC and Austin Bumgardner of Concord, NC.
In addition, she is survived by her beloved great granddaughters, Dani Canaday and Levi Canaday of Hickory, NC, Katie Rea Truette of Fort Mill, SC, and Rynsley Rakes, of Concord, NC and great grandsons, Michael Wyrick of Washington, DC, Cole Tibbett of Lutz, FL and Andy Truette of Fort Mill, SC.
Dear Margaret, a dedicated wife, mother, homemaker and part-time bookkeeper, along with Alvin, a devoted father, decorated world war II veteran, experienced furniture refinisher and salesman, cherished their many life-long friendships with fellow members of Calvary United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC.
Together, they were especially devoted to their children, extended family and all others with an unconditional love, encouragement and support that will endure forever.
Margaret always put the wellbeing of others first without exception and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She was truly gifted with love. She lived as an example for us all. Proverbs 31: 28-29.
The graveside service will be on Wednesday, April 7th at 11:00 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis at Hwy 29 N at I85, exit 58 Concord, NC and will be officiated by Dr. H. J. Lee of Calvary UMC Charlotte.
