Margaret Dillon

Margaret Featherstone Dillon, 93, of Harrisburg, NC, formerly of Lynbrook, NY passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011 at The Oaks at Town Center. Born on September 30, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY to the late William John and May Louise Lynn Featherstone. Also preceded in death by her husband John Wesley Dillon in 1950 and brothers William Featherstone and Rev. Robert Featherstone. Margaret was a secretary for South Nassau Hospital in Nassau County, New York, a member of Providence Baptist Church in Harrisburg and a former member of Lynbrook Baptist Church in Lynbrook, NY. She was a devoted Christian. She loved her Lord and Savior, and cherished her family. Margaret will be truly missed by all of her family and friends. A visitation will be held at Providence Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 4 until 5:30 PM. Funeral services will follow at 6 PM at the church, with Rev. Rody Carland and Rev. Bill Saylor officiating. Burial will be at a later date at First Reformed Church Cemetery in Pompton Plains, NJ. Survived by: daughters, Jean Patricia Rathje and husband Albert of Central Islip, NY, Diane Lynn Bauer and husband Frederick of Harrisburg, NC, and Nancy Karen Colpitts of Drums, Penn.; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild due in August .
