Margaret Furr

Margaret Louis “Meg” McLeod Furr age 54 of New London, NC 28127 passed away on August 16, 2010 at Carolinas Medical-NorthEast in Concord. She was born September 25, 1955 in Stanly County, NC to Dr. William Louis McLeod and Margaret Bland McLeod. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Marion Pate and Harrett Carnes. She graduated from South Stanly High School and Stanly Community College with a degree in Fine Arts and Freelance Photography. She also worked with the American Saddle Bred horses. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and attended as long as her health permitted. She is survived by her husband Gregory Lee Furr of the home and niece Kelly Pate. Visitation will be Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 10-11 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral will be Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Rev. Nathan Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery.
