Margaret Bernice Goff, 92 years of age, of Concord, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Margaret was born July 29, 1924 in North Carolina to the late Charles Franklin Garmon and the late Bertha Elizabeth Caskey. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Eugene E. Goff; her daughter Elizabeth "Libby" Goff; two sisters Ruth G. Hamilton and Mary Ellen G. McCorkle.

During World War II Margaret worked at the munitions factory in Charlotte inspecting shell casings. After the war she was a homemaker. She will long be remembered for the delicious, exquisite creations that came from her kitchen, for her decorating expertise and for her magical green thumb. She had an open, loving heart and a sweet spirit full of grace and love.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8, on Thursday, April 13, at Hartsell Funeral Home . The funeral service will be on Friday, April 14 at Forest Hill Methodist Church at 2 p.m. and officiated by Suzanne Dornsmith and Mandy Jones. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Survivors include nephew, Don Hamilton (Cookie) of Rockwell; great nephew, Dave Hamilton of Concord; niece, Barbara Brigman (Jim) of Kannapolis; niece, Susan Hicks (Delbert) of Concord; and nephew, Dan McCorkle of Concord.

Thank you to Tucker Hospice House for their loving care and attention to Margaret in her final weeks.

Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County and Forest Hill United Methodist Church.
