Margaret Atkinson Goodwin, 92 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Morningside Assisted Living in Concord.
Margaret was born September 26, 1924 in Johnston County, NC, to the late Stephen Elmer Atkinson and the late Alice Atkinson.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Dewey Calvin Goodwin and son, Robert Goodwin.
A graveside service, officiated by Clint Acline, will be held Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Olive Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery at 600 New Hill-Olive Chapel Rd., Apex, NC 27502.
Survivors include daughters, Alice & husband, Steve Jones of Concord and Sue & husband, Brady Readling of Harrisburg; brothers, Steven E Atkinson of San Bernardino, CA and Billy Ray Atkinson of Saginaw, MI; sisters, Alice Fay Ragan of Durham and Vera A Nichols of Saginaw, MI; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olive Chapel Baptist Church, 600 New Hill-Olive Chapel Rd., Apex, NC 27502.
