Margaret Elizabeth Fink Hager age 92, of 25261 Austin Rd, Albemarle, NC died January 1, 2010 at the Lutheran Home of Albemarle. She was born in Cabarrus County on September 19, 1917 to the late Daniel Carl Fink and Margaret Elizabeth Love Fink. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Webb Hager, a son Daniel Carlton Hager, a grandson Daniel Carlton Hager, Jr. and sister Kathryn Lowder. Margaret was a faithful member of Friendship United Methodist Church and the longest member in attendance at Friendship. She had been a Sunday School teacher and worked with the youth group for over 30 years. She attended Coltrane LIFE Center for 6 years where she had many friends. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, sewing, and making caramel popcorn and cakes. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and a humble Christian lady and woman of prayer. She is survived by son, Jerry Hager and wife Judy of Albemarle, NC; Daughter-in-Law, Kaye Hager Litzinger and husband Gerry of Duluth, Ga.; Grandchildren, Rebekah Stepp and husband Gary, Susan Caudle and husband Kelly, Andy Hager and wife Christa, Mark Hager and wife Mimi, Granddaughter-in-law, Maggie Hager Humbert and 3 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters. Visitation will be Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be Monday, January 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship UMC with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Kristy Burnette and Rev. Jimmy Allred will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Friendship United Methodist Church, 24696 NC Hwy 73, Albemarle, NC 28001, Coltrane LIFE Center, 321 Corban Ave SE, Concord, NC 28025 or Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, 158 Linwood Plaza, Suite 220, Ft. Lee, NJ 07024. The family will meet at the home of her son Jerry Hager, 24649 Fink Rd, Albemarle, NC
