Margaret Hammond

Margaret Eloise Goode Hammond, of Albemarle, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012, at the Lutheran Home. . The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 19 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Elizabeth Ayscue. Mrs. Hammond was born in Burke County, to the late Horace Connelly Goode and the late Daisy Glass Goode. Her husband, Ned Ernest Hammond, Sr., preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by a son, Ned E. Hammond, Jr. and his wife Chessa of Plano, TX; daughter, Virginia Hammond Carroll and her husband Jim of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and a grandchild, Ellen Margaret Manning of Washington, DC. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 1578, Albemarle, NC 28002.
