Margaret Jarvis
November 10, 1934 — April 16, 2015
Margaret Jean Sherrill Craver Jarvis, 80 years of age, of Concord, went to be with her Lord Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Elmcroft of Little Ave. in Charlotte.
Mrs. Jarvis was born November 10, 1934 in Cabarrus County to the late Thadius Sherrill and the late Nellie Pearce Sherrill. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Douglas Jarvis.
Margaret was a faithful member of Glorieta Baptist Church of Concord. She loved playing cards and games with her many close friends. She enjoyed traveling and going to the beach. Margaret was feisty with a great sense of humor and known as "double trouble" at Elmcroft. She previously worked in Washington DC for the FBI, and retired from CMC-Northeast as a respiratory therapist.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bill Nicks. The burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Patricia Yaghi of Charlotte and Constance Woodmansee of Landis; her loving and devoted stepson and daughter-in-law, Michael and Terri Jarvis of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Michael Jarvis, Mandi Jarvis, Michael Markatos, Spencer Woodmansee and Farrah Yaghi; newborn great-granddaughter, Shayla Woodmansee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Elmcroft for their amazing love and care. Margaret loved and appreciated them so much. The family would also like to thank Dr. Richard Musialowski at Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute of Charlotte and Hospice and Palliative Care of South Charlotte for their professional and compassionate care.
