Margaret Morris

Margaret "Genell" Morris, 78, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her home.

Genell was born December 4, 1939 in Stanly County to the late Homer Richard Whitley and the late Nellie Howard Whitley.
She was also preceded in death by brother, Reece Whitley.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Lowell Brown and Pastor Athea Harris. Burial will follow at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery at 32283 Bethlehem Church Road, Norwood.

Survivors include husband of 59 years, Billy Joel Morris of Albemarle; daughter, Cathy Burris of Albemarle; son, Don (BJ) Morris of New London; grandson, Caleb Reece Burris of Albemarle, and many other beloved family members.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N 1st, Albemarle, NC 28001.
