Margaret Pigg

Margaret Rachel Russell Pigg, 99 years of age, of Midland, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Transitional Health Services in Kannapolis. Margaret was born August 28, 1914 in Mecklenburg County to the late John Calvin Russell and the late Lona Latisha Allen Russell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Emmitt Pigg; son, Brice Randlemann; and grandson, Russell Randlemann. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Dulin's Grove Advent Christian Church, 11200 Arlington Church Road in Charlotte. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the church sanctuary officiated by Rev. Darrell Coble. The burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by her son, Philip Allen and wife Debra of Midland; grandsons, Philip Allen and wife Angela, Marshal Allen and wife At; great-grandchildren, Manoah and Dominic Allen; and granddaughters, April and Allison. Margaret was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She was a wonderful inspiration to all who knew her, and left a good christian example for her family to follow. She will forever be in our hearts, and her love will follow us all the days of our lives. A piece of her heart will always be with us.
