Margaret Sauls

Margaret Land Sauls, 97, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Spring Arbor in Albemarle, NC.
Margaret was born February 27, 1918, in Columbus County, NC, to Qunicy Adolphus (A.D.) Lewis and Pauline McCleney Lewis. She was preceded in death by husband, Harvin Austin Sauls II—both members of First Presbyterian Church of
Albemarle. Margaret was owner/operator of Margaret's Custom Draperies in downtown Albemarle, and instrumental in the founding and growth of the Stanly County Art Guild.
Survivors include son Robert Lewis Land and wife Myra of Albemarle; daughter, Jean Bryland of Raleigh; stepson, Harvin Sauls III and wife Ann of Gastonia; grandchildren Bryan Land and wife Lisa of Charlotte, and Carmen Land Harris and husband Jason of Durham; grandchildren: Thomas and Sarah Sauls; great-grandchildren: Landon, Reedling, and Baysden Harris; and great-granddaughter Madeline Land-Foster of Hawaii.
A memorial service will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Spring Arbor of Albemarle, officiated by the Rev. Joe Smith.
