Margaret Tucker

Margaret Louise Tucker, 71, of Concord, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 18, 2013. The family will receive friends at Zion Free-Will Baptist Church 3918 Mullis Road Kannapolis Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 6 until 8 PM. At other times the family will be at the fellowship hall of the church on Mullis Road. The funeral service will be held at Zion Free-Will Baptist Church on Friday, February 22nd at 2 PM with the Rev.’s Vaudry E. Tucker and Sarah Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Margaret was born on February 16, 1942 to the late William Houston Furr and Margaret Elizabeth Reams Furr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Ruby Christy. Margaret was a member of Zion Free-Will Baptist Church of Kannapolis for many years. She was a CNA at First Assembly Living Center until she retired. Margaret loved spending time outdoors working in her flowers, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach with her husband. Margaret was loved by all and will be missed dearly. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Phillip Tucker, Sr. of the home; nine children and three stepchildren, Fred Carpenter (Christine) of Concord, Bill Carpenter (Pamela) of Kannapolis, Ray Carpenter (Kathy) of Concord, Marvin Carpenter (Darlene) of Concord, Billy Carpenter (Terri) of Salisbury, Jenette Tidwell (Brent) of Kannapolis, Gail McClamrock (Daniel) of Kannapolis, Lisa Huneycutt (Adam) of Kannapolis, Nita Benton (Andy) of Kannapolis, Sandra Smith (Chad) of Kannapolis, Phillip Tucker, Jr. (Tonya) of Kannapolis, Lisa Proffitt (Allen) of Kannapolis; sister, Betty Johnson of Kannapolis; brother, Wayne Furr of Concord; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly.
