Margaret Geneva Long Hartsell, 92, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.
Geneva was born October 9, 1930 in North Carolina to the late Wilson Long and the late Macitious Watkins Long.
She was also preceded in death by siblings, Robert Long, Hoyle Long, Lucy Long, Reese Long, Lee Roy Long, and Johnnie May Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 1:45pm, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Love's Grove United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2:00pm at Love's Grove United Methodist in Stanfield officiated by Pastor Jim White. Burial will follow at the Love's Grove United Methodist Cemetery at 4360 Polk Ford Rd., Stanfield.
Survivors include sons, Edward Hartsell of the home and Leonard (Suzy) Hartsell of Stanfield, NC; grandchildren, Shea (Holly) Hartsell of Huntersville, NC and Brittany Tucker of Stanfield, NC; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Fred Long, Martha Efird, Linda (Grady) Troutman, Frances Campbell, Ray Long, Mary (Bill) Taylor, and Bobby (Gwen) Long; and many nieces and nephews.
Geneva was a life long member of Love's Grove Untied Methodist Church and worked for many years at Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills. She loved flowers and gardening. Geneva was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
