Margie Bock

Margie Furr Bock, 93, of Concord, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at The Living Center of Concord in Concord.

Mrs. Bock was born October 5, 1925 in Rowan County to the late Rodell Clark Brown and the late Geneva Augustus Brown. She was also preceded in death by her children Adam S. Swink, Jr, Fred W. Swink, and Rachel D. McLain; and her eight siblings.

Margie was a wonderful cook and was known for her homemade chicken and dumplings and pound cakes.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM - 2:15 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow the service at the Fairview Memorial Park at 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.

Survivors include husband John Edward Bock; sister, Audrey Barnette; grandchildren, Teresa Swink Baucom, Tammy Swink, Tonda Swink, Jack Allen McLain, Michael McLain, Derek Belts, Cathy Swink, Frankie Swink, Janet Beaver, Lisa Marie Swink; daughter-in-law, Lois Swink; nine great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County and the Uwharrie, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001
