Margie Drake

Margie Louise Criswell Drake, 71, of 4266 Barley Street SW Concord passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center in Concord. Born on February 24, 1939 in Mecklenburg County to the late James Shurford and Nellie Helms Criswell. She is also preceded in death by her husband Donald Mack Drake in August of 2009, sons Stonie Criswell, Bobby and Dan Drake, brothers Leon Helms, James Criswell, Jr., and sister Terry Owens. Mrs. Drake was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church North Campus. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 6 until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord Chapel on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 2 pm, with the Rev. Steve Livengood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte. Survived by: sons, Don, Tracy, Eric, and Alec Drake all of Concord, Ray Drake of Troutman, and Jimmy Drake of TX; daughters, Elizabeth Stinnard of Concord, Debbie Drake, Jeannie Drake, and Lisa Drake all of AL, Dottie McLaurin of NC; brothers, Gus Helms, Howard Criswell; sisters, Shirley Drake of Concord, Chrissie Oxendine of Indian Trail, Ruth Milane of Mooresville, Doris Fouts of Indian Trail; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
